Photography Tuition

Over the past decade I have been fortunate enough to teach hundreds of students in photography, from younger learners right up to senior citizens, in over a dozen countries across Asia and Europe.

My instruction method is really based on the individual learners themselves, and each lesson or course will be tailored for their individual requirements. Some people really want to learn the technical side of photography, whereas some just want to learn how to take better photos with whichever camera or cell phone they already have.

The type of lessons I offer are as follows;

Private Lessons;

One t one with the photography learner so they get the absolute closest engagement of instruction time. This could be a one-off session for a morning or afternoon, a whole day, weekend, or ongoing lesson course. We wouldn’t buy a car without learning to drive it properly, and taking the time to learn more about your photography in investing in yourself, learning a skill that will serve you for the rest of your life.

Group Lessons and Workshops;

Perhaps yourself and few friends would like to learn together and have fun learning in a small group environment. This could also be anything from a one-off morning or afternoon session, right through to an ongoing course. Lessons are presented in English, but if required a Mandarin speaker/translator can also be provided for a small extra fee.

Online Lessons;

Online learning enables us to be in different locations and yet still be connected, and the beauty is that is can be scheduled to suit your preference. Lessons will be given in the form of an online meeting, with practical PPT presentations and ongoing discussion between us. The photography learner will then have assignment photos to take before the next session, as the learner grasps more advanced ideas, techniques and concepts. Online instruction can also be for individuals or groups of learners, as a one-off session or as an ongoing course.

In all of these lessons, communication is the key. There is no point in teaching someone how to take landscape photos if they dislike the great outdoors! You tell me what you’d like to achieve, and I will suit your instruction to your wants and needs.
